L'Alberg de la Torra is a big building with stone walls , big windows and covered with Arab slates. Is in the middle of an isolated meadow, and offers the visitors excellents views from the four sides of the house. The house is locatedat the best side of the marsh of Rialb.
The construction of the marsh of Rialb contributed in great extend to improve the rural lodging, communications, insfrastructures, to provide water and lighting, and others… as a way to develop the municipality of Baronia de Rialb.
Due to this plan, the Alberg de la Torre was built in the year 2000. Because of its location, near the dam, the house offers the possibility to do many activities, as sports, ( canoening, fishing) and also cultural visits to know the romanesque art (23 churches), Its also an ideal place to organize meetings, conferences… that requires spacious areas.
The city council of la Baronia de Rialb, promoted the construction of this building to be used as a touristic lodging for big groups, taking in consideration that the Alberg was going to complement the other turistical offer in accomodation, for smaller groups ( as the Schools of del Puig, Pallerols, Palau, la Serra and la Torre).The aim was to contribute to the social and economical development of the municipality, with this lodgings.
And this has happened, and today this unique building, lodges the most varied groups that can enjoy of the nature, and develop the activities they have programed.
